About Twisted Plays
Twisted Plays began in New Jersey in 2010 with the publication of Oz Is Twisted, a modern retelling of The Wizard of Oz. Since then, our catalog has grown to include imaginative plays, musicals, educational materials, and fresh takes on familiar stories.
Twisted Plays are designed to be fun, educational, and accessible. Our original productions modernize classic stories, introduce meaningful lessons, and give performers of different ages and experience levels an opportunity to shine. Our materials are created for schools, community theatres, children’s theatre programs, educators, and anyone looking for good, wholesome entertainment.
We continue to welcome new works from writers throughout the United States, including titles such as The Gator of Glen Ridge. We are proud to help playwrights and composers connect their work with schools, theatres, and performers ready to bring those stories to life.
Our Growth
In 2013, Twisted Plays became a dealer for Hal Leonard, expanding our selection to include classroom resources, musicals, sheet music, and other performance materials.
In 2014, we established a similar relationship with Alfred Music, further expanding the educational and performance resources available to our customers. That same year, we partnered with Sheet Music Direct to provide musicians with authorized digital sheet-music downloads.
In 2015, we added Total Sheet Music, helping us make an even broader selection of digital music available for immediate purchase and use.
In 2023, Twisted Plays began a new partnership with Rep en Roer, bringing additional creative theatrical works to our growing catalog.
In 2026, we proudly welcomed GIA Publications to the Twisted Plays family.

Sheet-Music Downloads
Twisted Plays is proud to partner with Sheet Music Direct , an official, authorized, and licensed digital sheet-music service.
Musicians can preview available music, interact with select scores, purchase authorized editions, and print their music without leaving home. Each purchase supports the publishers, composers, and songwriters who created the music.
Twisted Plays also partners with Total Sheet Music to expand the digital titles available to our customers. Together, these services put thousands of pieces of music at your fingertips.
Our Locations
Twisted Plays’ main headquarters is located in Old Bridge, New Jersey, while our licensing division is based in Morris, Minnesota. We are supported by warehouse locations in Winona, Minnesota; Louisville, Colorado; and Van Nuys, California.
To celebrate our fifth year in business, we introduced an updated Twisted Plays logo while retaining the tornado shape that represents our original “twisted” tales.

Billing Policy
Twisted Plays can invoice schools, theatres, churches, government agencies, and other established organizations with a verifiable business address and telephone number.
Individuals, home-based businesses, and organizations that do not qualify for invoicing must prepay for materials, royalties, and other applicable charges. Payment may be made using the options provided during checkout or by check when approved.
Applicable sales tax will be collected when required by state, federal, or local law. Tax-exempt organizations must provide valid exemption documentation before an order is finalized.

Because scripts, production materials, licensing fees, digital products, and royalties are prepared or authorized specifically for each customer, all sales are final.
If an exceptional circumstance requires a return request, please contact Twisted Plays before sending anything back. Unauthorized returns may be refused. Approved returns may be subject to a 20% restocking fee, and original shipping charges are nonrefundable. Used, altered, or damaged products are not eligible for a refund.
Please inspect your shipment when it arrives and contact us promptly if your order is incomplete or arrives damaged.
International Orders
All Twisted Plays prices and invoices are in U.S. dollars.
We strongly prefer that international customers pay in U.S. funds. If that is not possible, customers should use the most current exchange rate available when calculating payment. Small changes in the exchange rate will generally be accepted when the customer has made a good-faith effort to submit the correct equivalent.
International customers are responsible for all applicable brokerage fees, customs duties, taxes, and import charges.
