"Every monster has a story. Medusa’s is just... misunderstood."
Long ago, in Ancient Greece, a young girl named Medusa dreamed of becoming a protector, not a monster. She was clever, curious, and compassionate — a loyal temple guardian of Athena who loved helping others and had a heart as big as her courage.
But everything changes when a trickster god spreads a false rumor about Medusa. Caught in the middle of a divine squabble between gods and goddesses, Medusa is unfairly cursed with snake hair and a gaze that turns others to stone — even though she never meant to harm anyone.
Banished to a distant island, Medusa tries to live in peace, caring for lost creatures and turning her stone garden into a sanctuary for misfits and magical beings.
Years later, a brave (but bumbling) young hero named Percy is sent to defeat “the terrifying monster Medusa”… but when he arrives, he’s shocked to find a kind and funny girl with a heart of gold and a garden full of stone plants, not people.
Together, Medusa and Percy uncover the truth behind the curse, stand up to the gods who wronged her, and prove that being different doesn’t make you dangerous — it makes you powerful.
